Black aluminum oxide is an abrasive and one of the hardest minerals. Black alumina is produced by electromelting bauxite, iron oxide and trace elements in an inclined electric arc furnace. It can be produced in a variety of sizes, from grain to micronized, and is one of the most economical media available for a wide variety of dry and wet processing applications.
